- In 2007 Gonu Hurricane caused extensive flooding and substantial damages to bridges, culverts and roads along Quriyat National Road in the Quriyat Region of the Sultanate of Oman. The rehabilitation works included massive wadi reshaping and confining works and the complete reconstruction of several viaducts and box culverts wiped away by the floods.
